“To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1
It is said that “A seed doesn’t argue with the season—it grows when the time is right.”
There are things God places in your hands that don’t look like much at first.
A thought that won’t leave you. A quiet nudge to reach out. A small opportunity to serve.
Easy to overlook. Easy to delay.
Not because you don’t care… but because it feels small.
I’ve noticed something.
We tend to respect what looks significant. And hesitate with what looks ordinary.
But most of what God gives doesn’t arrive fully grown.
It comes as a seed.
A seed doesn’t try to prove itself.
It doesn’t rush the process. It doesn’t compare itself to other seeds.
It responds to the right moment.
And when that moment comes… it grows.
There are seasons when you are being prepared.
And there are moments that ask for a response.
Sometimes the difference between the two is subtle.
You only recognize it by paying attention.
I wonder how many things stay buried not because they were never given… but because the moment passed quietly.
A word that could have been spoken. A kindness that could have been shown. A step that could have been taken.
Not dramatic. Just timely.
Jesus spoke about faithfulness in small things.
Not to burden us… but as a rhythm for us to see.
Growth tends to follow what is used. And what is used tends to increase.
Maybe the question isn’t about doing more.
Maybe it’s about noticing better.
What has been placed in your hands lately?
What has come across your path more than once?
What have you felt prompted to do… and set aside?
You don’t need a bigger moment.
Just the right one.
“In God’s hands, what is small and timely has a way of becoming more than it first appeared.”
Father, help me to notice what You’ve placed in my hands. Keep me from overlooking what seems small. Give me the sensitivity to respond in the right moment, and the trust to act when You nudge me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
