John 3:21 NKJV ²¹ But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
Logan was very excited that his special day was fast approaching. Finally, he was recognized for his hard work.
For years, he worked in a small cubicle in the center of the newsroom. No one seemed to know that he even existed.
This led him into a deep depression. He seemed to have no way out.
But that was water under the bridge now. That brilliant report that he wrote for the Thanksgiving edition of the daily newspaper had resulted in his being lavished with praise. It also opened exciting new assignments.
The editor-in-chief was impressed with how well Logan wrote and recommended him for a promotion.
Now that his promotion was imminent, he looked back at what he considered to be the defining moment.
Things began to work in his favor, after he took his father John’s advice to heart. He told him that if he put his full trust in God, things would begin to turn around.
Since Logan had learned to wholly lean on the Lord, his gifts were finally being recognized.
Logan beamed as he realized that God had shined a spotlight on him. As a result, people were able to see that what he did was by the grace of God.
Father may every step that I take today be according to your Word.
Amen.
