Beep, Beep, Beep

Verse: Jeremiah 33:3

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

I have a monitoring system that is connected to the back of my arm. I am a diabetic. The monitoring helps me adjust my insulin by sending information about my glucose level without constantly pricking my finger to get a accurate reading. The Abbott Company named this handheld devise LIBRE 2. The name means freedom or having liberty from painful finger pricks and drops of blood that tells how I’m really doing. Freedom to move and go as I please through my normal day until my glucose began to spike or drop. The monitor sends a series of three beeps to alert me of the changes taking place in my body. Changes that could prove to be dangerous if not corrected.

Three beeps to alert me of danger. Three beeps from a car horn to prevent an accident from happening. Three beeps from your cellphone to alert one of an incoming message. What if that beep is from God. Would you act quickly to see if you were losing the connection, batteries running low, or if you needed a spirit injection. Looking at our culture today, it would take an act of God to get the attention of some. We sometime need help. But God provided us with the Holy Spirit to teach us, cover us and to strengthen us, guiding us through dangers seen and unseen. Three beeps, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Trinity three in one. Our God is a wonderful God.

Listen to the spirit. “the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.” He will show you great and mighty things you did not know.

Prayer

Dear Lord, we receive you as the one true living God. Teach us to follow without wavering, pray without ceasing and to stay connected to serve you and your people.

Amen
