Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. I John

The Bible is many things. It’s History, His story; Science, the study of what GOD did; Relationship, the way we should relate to each other; and a lot of other things. But one of my favorite things about the Bible is poetry. Poetry is a spiritual thing. Poetry expresses the spirituality that we can’t do in the physical. So, I wrote a Love poem to Christ.

I did not know You when you died,

They say You came to save us all and that You tried.

You left heaven and made earth Your home

Even though You are GOD incarnate,

You made no reputation of Your own.

I have always heard great things about You

How You set a good example and showed us all what to do.

Many think that You are about great wealth

I thought so too until I got to know You for myself.

I learned that You are not about riches and things we can touch with a glove,

You are a lot more than that, You are all about Love.

So, I wrote this Love letter for all the world to see,

That you are Love, and that You first Loved me.

Heavenly Father: Thank you for the love that You have given us. For what You have done for us there is no greater love. For that we give You the highest praise. Hallelujah! Amen.
