While driving home one day I saw many people begging for money at the street corners. I immediately said to myself I’m not giving them any of my money. They need to go to work just like I did. Right then my heart hardened with the thought of being conned by these people. They are out here just taking peoples money so they can buy drugs to get high.
I see this a lot. Actually I see it every day and not just in my community but through the whole city and other cities that I travel through. Other states have the same problem of people standing on the corners with signs begging for money. They must be uneducated and lazy people that do not want to work.
I just drive by them and do not want to make eye contact so I keep my head down or turned away so I do not see them.I say to myself it takes more energy to stand out here in the elements than it does to get a real job. I would never be like them I have higher standards. Now I feel better about myself. I do not feel guilty for not stopping and giving them money. I weight it out in my mind and sa
