And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Mat 28:18

When I was young in my twenties I use to have a lead foot. This is what people would describe you as having when you drove your car fast most of the time. I traveled from Raleigh to Ft. Bragg (Now called Ft. Liberty) a lot. I would work at Ft. Bragg doing the week and on the weekend drive back to Raleigh. One Monday morning I woke up a little late and needed to get to work in a hurry. We were required to be at work at 0630 hrs., and it was 0515 hrs. The drive to Ft Bragg took about an hour so I knew I needed to hurry up getting there. The speed limit was 55 and I was doing about 70. As I was going there, I went up a hill and as I got to the top of the hill a state patrolman going in the opposite direction was crossing the top of the hill at the same time. As I looked in my rear-view mirror, I could see that he had turned his lights on,turned around and was coming to get me. I knew I was guilty, so I just pulled over and waited until he got to where I was. I had my license and registration already out and waiting. He wrote me a speeding ticket and sent me on my way. I told my friends about it and that I had to go to court. One of my friends suggested that I get a prayer for judgement. I did not know what that was. I tried it when I went to court, and it worked. Even though I was guilty the judge has the power and authority to forgive me for the law that I had broken. This is the power and authority that Jesus have. He can forgive us of our sins, but we have to ask him and repent.

Dear GOD I thank you for forgiving me of my sins and taking my punishment for me on the cross. You have proven your love for me. You are my Lord and Savior. Amen.
