Verse
Isaiah 50:4 The Lord God has given Me the tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak. A word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned.
Is there something that you just enjoy doing? Something You can put your body, your mind and your soul into? The more you learn, the complexity is evident and the higher the learner aspire, the more you learn? And at some point you have become a scholar of a particular subject. Well, students go to school each day to learn all matter of things, but there should be on subject that catches their fancy. In that subject, the student can become one with the knowledge of learning new things and exploring new ideas that excites, entertain, and speaks to them. My subject was Music.
Music is a hidden language the touches everyone. We respond to music in so many ways. People will tell you very quickly that they “do not sing”, but they never say “I don’t like music” because music finds a way to interact with each one of us. You can dance, sing, place an instrument or create new rhythms and melodies to share. Adding lyrics is a layer of complete understand to what the composer is saying to the listener. There are many paths that present itself while studying Music. Language, the science of sound and the humans ability to hear complex tones, and the emotions that are expressed and released can be felt by all.
Music has a hook that catches the attention of listeners, and speaks to them in a way that gets them to respond. God created man to enjoy music but He don’t use a hook, fancy flashing colorful lights, or amplification. He speaks to the heart in a quite voice. A voice that teaches the learner His ways. Not to keep to themselves, but to tells others how to attune their ears toward HIM. He teaches us how to reach others so that they too can become true scholars of HIS word.
Prayer
Dear Lord, I see the vastness of your love and see your need to connect to your believers. Allow us to be lifetime learners of your word and the scholar that wants to share what we have learned from YOU.
