Verse: Ephesians: 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
I really enjoy celebrations. It can be birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, family reunions or getting that first full time real job. It is a time of happiness, joy and hope for a better future. And the icing on the cake is the presentation of gifts. Most children want what every one else has, comparing to see who has the best toy, most popular fashion or money to spend on what they want. We all have been that kid in our lifetime.
As we grow older, the simple things mean more to us. When some one takes the time to make something, when they know just what we need, or be there for you when we need them without asking, that’s a gift. When we receive healing in our bodies, restoration of your limbs or peace of mind that’s a gift. It takes love to be that perfect gift giver. God is that perfect gift giver with HIS unconditional LOVE.
When He offer you restored hearing, peace of the mind or a little more faith, that’s a gift. When His mercies are renewed fresh each day, that’s a gift. When He saves us by grace through faith that is the biggest gift of all for He freely gives so that we all get the opportunity to be special and to be His chosen for family. Salvation is a gift for us all.
Receive it. You can’t beat God’s giving. No matter how you try.
Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for opening my spiritual eyes to the simple things we sometimes overlook. We are special to you. We are healed, renewed and given peace by you. We are unconditionally loved and given the gift of salvation by you. You are the great I AM. You are alpha and omega, the beginning and the end.
Amen
